Master Josh Countryman

 

For 22 years, Master Josh Countryman (5th Dan) has studied the Dillman Method of Pressure Point Fighting under one of Prof. George Dillman's senior students, GM Chris Thomas (9th Dan). A senior member of Kyusho Jitsu Kenkyukai (KJK), Master Countryman is a specialist in the concepts of body mechanics and physical efficiency in the application of technique.

 

In addition to his expertise in the martial arts, Master Countryman is also an experienced public educator, with 11 years of public school teaching and a Master's degree in music education from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Bringing the worlds of education and martial arts together, Master Countryman has been highly influential within the KJK in developing curriculum and assessment tools that are helping to develop all of the instructors affiliated with GM Thomas. His experience as an educator is more directly applied at Koryu Dojo where he and Master Mellgren work constantly to develop more effective teaching methods to guarantee the success of the students.

Josh lives in Richfield, MN with his wife, two sons, and their dog.
